"Saggy Bender," a duct tape work created in 2018, has been acquired by The Civic Art Collection for permanent display at The Civic, an adaptive reuse development at 16th St. and Girard Ave., Philadelphia. A catalog of this private collection of contemporary art is being produced in conjunction with the opening of the new residence to tenants. Formerly St. Joseph’s Hospital and now a residential and commercial space, The Civic has acquired a strong collection of works by contemporary artists—many of whom create in Philadelphia and together employ a wide array of styles, mediums, and intentions. Artists include Sheldon Abba, Scott Albrecht, Frito Bastien, Ryan Beck, Agathe Bouton Privé, Paula Cahill, Won Seok Chang, Aubrie Costello, Brad Davis, William DiBello, Shanina Dionna, Paul Timothy Gierschick II, Marguerita Hagan, Robert Hakalski, Jenny Holzer, Darla Jacksonn, Keir Johnston, Girija Kaimall Korodi János, MiKyoung Lee, James and Karla Murray Photography, Destiny S Palmer, Aaron Ricketts, Angela Rio, Justin Rubich, Ethan Patrick Sherman, Ian Loring Shiver, Shawn Theodore, Flávio Trevisan, Aysha Ray Walker, Lauren West and Jessica Zawadowicz. Special thanks to Eric Preisendanz, a long-time champion of my work. Open House, Artist Reception and Catalog Release
